2011 Bertani Villa Arvedi Amarone $65.99
Sleek and polished, this opens with lovely fragrances of blue flowers, incense and sandalwood. The juicy palate weaves together ripe black plum, black cherry, white pepper and clove, balanced by supple tannins.
2012 Accordini Acinatico Amarone $79.99
The color of Acinatico is dense and deep garnet red. Ethereal rich and concentrated bouquet with vanilla scent that recalls dried fruit. Persistent, soft, creamy flavor with scents of nuts. Properly preserved, laid down, in the dark at a steady temperature of 58-59 degrees Farhenheit, this wine will keep its characteristics for 15-20 years.
